Livingston County is located in North Central Missouri. It is named for Edward Livingston, a United States Secretary of State.
The seat and largest city are both Chillicothe.
It borders Grundy, Linn, Chariton, Carroll, Caldwell and Daviess Counties.
Main highways through the county include US-36, US-65 and MO-190.
